BIOGRAPHY
From Durban to a new chapter in Pretoria.
Born and raised in Durban, Terence studied at the University of KwaZulu-Natal. He qualified as a Chartered Accountant, holds a Bachelor of Accounting Science degree and retired as an Executive Director of the McCarthy Group, where he was responsible for a number of motor franchises.
He later worked as an Executive Coach focusing on business and leadership coaching, bringing decades of commercial experience into conversations about leadership, judgement and growth.
After retirement, writing became one of his hobbies. He wrote short stories and prose before turning to historical fiction. The Apron Flag, based around the Jameson Raid, became his first novel; The Torn Flag followed as a sequel, with a trilogy planned.
His children’s stories grew from bedtime tales he once devised for his young children. Those memories became the starting point for the Harry the Little Hippo series – stories about animals in the wild, family and learning from experience.
