introduce viruses, malicious code or other harmful material;
interfere with the security or normal operation of the website;
use automated systems to excessively access, scrape or copy website content;

We reserve the right to restrict or block access where we reasonably believe the website is being misused.
3. Website Information
We make reasonable efforts to ensure that information on this website is accurate and current.
However, information may occasionally contain errors, omissions or outdated details.
We may update or correct website content at any time without prior notice.
Images of books and other products are provided for illustration purposes. Minor differences in colour or appearance may occur depending on printing, photography, screen settings or subsequent editions.
4. Prices
Unless otherwise stated, prices displayed on the website are shown in South African Rand (ZAR).
The price displayed when you place your order is the price applicable to that order, subject to correction of any obvious technical or pricing error.
Where a genuine pricing error has occurred, we will contact you before fulfilling the affected order. You may then choose whether to proceed at the correct price or cancel the affected item for a full refund.
5. Orders
Placing products in your shopping basket does not reserve stock.
Before submitting an order, you will have an opportunity to review your selected products and the information you have provided and to correct any mistakes.
By submitting an order, you confirm that:
the information you have provided is accurate;
you are authorised to use the selected payment method; and

An order is subject to successful payment and product availability.
We may contact you if there is a problem with an order, payment, stock availability or delivery information.
If we are unable to fulfil a paid order, the amount paid for the affected item or order will be refunded.
6. Payment
Payments made through the website are processed using the payment methods made available at checkout.
Payment transactions may be handled by independent payment service providers and financial institutions.
Terence Sorour Books does not require access to your complete card details in order to process and fulfil an order.
Payment providers may apply their own terms, conditions and security procedures to transactions processed through their systems.
7. Delivery Within South Africa
Book prices include free delivery to addresses within South Africa, subject to the terms set out in our Delivery Policy.
You are responsible for ensuring that your delivery address and contact details are complete and accurate.
Delivery dates and estimated delivery periods are not guaranteed where delays result from courier operations or circumstances reasonably outside our control.
Full information regarding local deliveries is available in our Delivery Policy.
8. International Orders
Our standard online checkout and free delivery offer apply to deliveries within South Africa.
Customers requiring delivery outside South Africa should use the International Orders button available on the relevant book page.
International delivery availability, costs and arrangements will be confirmed separately.
The recipient may also be responsible for customs duties, import taxes, clearance fees or other charges imposed in the destination country.
9. Refunds, Returns and Exchanges
Refunds, returns and exchanges are handled in accordance with our Refund & Returns Policy and applicable South African consumer law.
Nothing in these Terms and Conditions is intended to exclude or limit any rights you have under the Consumer Protection Act, the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act, or other applicable legislation.
Where statutory consumer rights provide greater protection than these Terms, those statutory rights will apply.

From time to time, Terence Sorour Books may offer discounts, promotions or special offers.
Any additional terms applying to a particular promotion will be displayed with that offer.
Unless otherwise stated:
promotions cannot be exchanged for cash;
discounts apply only during the stated promotional period;
qualifying requirements must be met for the discount to apply; and
promotional offers remain subject to product availability.
We may correct or withdraw a promotion where it has been published incorrectly because of a genuine technical or administrative error, subject always to applicable consumer law.

Unless otherwise indicated, all content appearing on this website is owned by or licensed to Terence Sorour Books or the relevant rights holder.
This includes, where applicable:
written website content;

Nothing on this website transfers ownership of any intellectual property rights to the user.
12. Book Content and Copyright
The literary works offered or promoted through this website are protected by applicable copyright law.

16. Limitation of Liability
We take reasonable care in operating the website and fulfilling orders.
To the extent permitted by law, Terence Sorour Books will not be liable for indirect or consequential losses resulting solely from the use or temporary unavailability of the website where those losses could not reasonably have been anticipated.
This limitation does not apply where liability cannot legally be excluded or limited.
Nothing in these Terms:
excludes any statutory consumer right;

requires you to waive any right that cannot lawfully be waived.
17. User-Submitted Information
If you submit information through a contact, international order or other enquiry form, you confirm that the information is accurate to the best of your knowledge and that you are entitled to provide it.
Information submitted through the website will be handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
Submitting an enquiry does not create a contractual relationship unless an order or other agreement is subsequently entered into.

These may include:
order confirmations;

the website;
our products or services;
our business practices;

applicable legal requirements.
Any updated version will be published on this page together with the date of the latest revision.
Changes will apply from the date the revised Terms are published and will not retrospectively remove rights that have already arisen under an existing transaction.
20. Governing Law
These Terms and Conditions and your use of the website are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa.
Any dispute arising from the website or a transaction will be dealt with in accordance with applicable South African law.
Nothing in this section prevents a consumer from exercising any right to approach an appropriate consumer protection body, regulator, ombud, tribunal or court where entitled to do so.
21. Severability
If any provision of these Terms and Conditions is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue to apply to the extent permitted by law.
22. Entire Website Agreement
These Terms and Conditions, together with our Privacy Policy, Delivery Policy, Refund & Returns Policy, and any specific terms displayed during checkout or as part of a promotion, constitute the terms applicable to your use of this website and purchases made through it.
If there is a conflict between these general Terms and a specific statutory consumer right, the applicable law will take precedence.
